Chrysalis Birthing Bed

Chrysalis birthing beds optimise positioning for clinical staff whilst offering the most convenient delivery position for the mother.

Equipped to manage all stages of childbirth, and configured to help women maintain more natural positions during labour and birth, the birthing beds are designed for comfort, safety and flexibility.

The beds transform easily into delivery chairs, with the foot section sliding smoothly away beneath the seat section.

  • Wide range of safe and comfortable positions for labour and delivery
  • Fully adjustable mattress platform, backrest and leg section for optimum patient comfort and ease of access during labour
  • Adjustable leg section, slides away beneath fixed seat section to convert bed to delivery chair
  • Electrically operated adjustable height range
  • Head down tilt (Trendelenburg) and foot down tilt (Reverse Trendelenburg) positioning
  • Safe, integral ABS side rails with anti slip pads, featuring patient controls
  • Central locking and movement control system
  • Three control systems for ease of use; central control panel, wired handset and control integrated within the side rails, plus optional foot controls
  • Removable 2-part mattress, with specially designed cut-out lower section
  • Easily removable head and foot ends
