How much does delivery cost?

Shipping to Northern Ireland and British Forces is charged at £25.00 + VAT.

Palletised deliveries are charged at £85.00 + VAT per pallet.

Returns

What is the returns policy?

Returns are acceptable within 28 days of delivery (by law you have 14 days to notify us and a further 14 days to complete the return), providing the item is in a resalable condition and in its undamaged original packaging.

Cancellations and Returns are free of charge for items up to 20 kg. Collection for items over 20 kg will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

All returns must be pre-authorised prior to shipping. Unauthorised returns may be refused and additional carriage costs may be incurred.

Failure to return goods in a resalable condition may result in a restocking fee of £25.00 + VAT or 20% of the invoice value, whichever is greater.

Any goods returned for product defect or warranty issues will not incur a restocking fee, but must still have appropriate authorisation.

Thyroid Biopsy Ultrasound Training Model

Blue Phantom thyroid ultrasound fine needle biopsy training model allows users to develop and practice the skills necessary to gain proficiency in using ultrasound for imaging and guiding thyroid fine needle biopsy procedures. 

Using Blue Phantom simulated human tissue, this very realistic and ultra-durable thyroid biopsy ultrasound training model is excellent for training clinicians in the psychomotor skills associated with ultrasound guided fine needle biopsies of the thyroid gland. 

These ultrasound imaging skills include; using ultrasound system controls, transducer positioning and movement, recognition of thyroid and surrounding structural anatomy, identification of a variety of masses present in the thyroid gland, using ultrasound system calculation packages, and using ultrasound to target the lesions for fine needle biopsies.

Our highly realistic ultrasound training model contains the thyroid, focal lesions suitable for fine needle biopsy, and pertinent surrounding anatomical structures. 

The anatomical structured contained within the thyroid ultrasound training model include: the left and right lobes of the thyroid gland as well as the isthmus, a multinodular goiter, multiple masses of varying sonographic appearances, trachea, oesophagus, carotid arteries, and internal jugular veins. 

Multiple simple and complex masses with a variety of sonographic appearances are present in the model including; hypoechoic, echogenic, echolucent with an echogenic rim, and echogenic with a echolucent rim.

This medical ultrasound training phantom is constructed using Blue Phantom’s patented ultra-durable tissue and is extremely realistic in ultrasound imaging characteristics and feels like real human tissue.

The masses in this soft tissue biopsy model can be accessed with needles as well as fluid can be injected into the model to verify needle tip location. 

Fluids are automatically expelled so that the model can be used repeatedly for training.  We recommend that you utilize 18-21 gauge sharp, unbent needles during your training in order to maximize the self healing and ultra-durable performance of the thyroid ultrasound training model. 

While you are able to perform core biopsies and actually remove tissue from the tumors in the model, do this knowing that each mass can only withstand core biopsy until the lesion is destroyed which will require that you then move on to another mass located in the training model.

This thyroid ultrasound trainer will perform well using any ultrasound imaging system configured with the appropriate transducer (recommended ultrasound transducer; high frequency linear array ultrasound probe 7.5-15 MHz).
