Bring Barry to Life with the addition of the SimVS Simulated Patient Monitor.
Barry (light skin) and Benny (dark skin) are modular training mannequins that weigh 25 stone (350 lbs/159 kgs), yet are easy to disassemble to move or store with no single component weighing more than 16 kg.
Barry/Benny has been designed to assist the manual handling training of healthcare workers, emergency personnel and many others enabling them to safely and efficiently manoeuvre or rescue plus-size people whilst maintaining the patient’s dignity.
Bariquins overcome the disadvantages that current mannequins of a similar weight have. They don’t require a team of trained people to haul the mannequin to and from the training area, nor do they need filling with water (and emptying) in situ.
The cost of the Bariquin will soon be recouped compared to using a real-life model - and Barry won’t get tired or embarrassed during training.
Barry is made up of 15 weighted parts, a jacket plus the realistic-looking head, hands and feet. His heaviest component is designed to be less than 16 kgs -that’s much less than the weight of your flight suitcase. And with two handles stitched securely to the more substantial parts, they are easier to carry too.
